I became a freelance writer quite by accident. As I worked on my first gig for a video production company, however, it became clear that’s where I was supposed to be. Although I’ve worked for several ad agencies and marketing communication departments since then, I do not come from an agency or marcom background. I’ve always been a freelancer.

As a marketing writer I’ve written about everything from Nestlé Crunch Ice Cream Bars and motorcycle safety courses to NASA’s technology transfer program and the hydraulics that open and close the Santiago Calatrava-designed Brise Soleil at the Milwaukee Art Museum. I work for Fortune 500 companies, multimedia production facilities, ad agencies, independent producers, and medium-sized, family-owned businesses.

As an editor, I have polished video and audio scripts, speeches, print and Web copy, annual reports, and nonfiction books. I have also written, produced, and been on-air talent for public radio. In the 20.5 years I’ve been writing, I’ve interviewed hundreds of people from around the world.
